Unfortunately, September 17–21 look to be above 90° (93°, 96°, 99°, 98°, & 96°) in Tulsa per GFS (and GEM). The mean last date of 90° is September 30.

Go Sooners.

Wonder if Yukon Cornelius got any rain(??).
Not sure of his geo location, but radar had greens, yellows, and reds around the Burkburnett and Wichita Falls areas. Hope, if anything he had a break from the 100s at least!

Having our third round here in Shackelford County since early Sunday morning tonight and second of the day here. The rainfall rate is insane with the wind and lightning is crazy. Had over 2.6 inches here before this storm and guessing another 2 inches has fallen. Looks like we will definitely be up there in totals by end of the week.

Looks like this round is holding together a bit better and we're getting a decent shower here.

Is this a case where each successive complex will sustain longer and longer as it erodes all the dry air between the clouds and the ground? Always wondered about the mechanics of pattern transition during/after a drought.

Yep. On the peninsula here in Rowlett. I think we're 1 for the last 10 in local rain actually hitting our area.

Our heat index is 98 degrees (air temp 96) this afternoon. Summer just won't quit down here. This morning was nice at least with the outflow passing through.

The good news is some help is on the way it seems. Allegedly :D

I hit 100°F with a heat index of 103°F today. Still plenty hot down here. No relief in sight either. Temps look above to well above average the rest of the month.

Some decent rain I'm getting right now. The recent showers these past weeks are helping my plants but the yard grass is still a dead yellow.

Summer's for hibernation, Winter’s my vacation

Don't use my posts as forecast, I'm a complete meteorology noob! I just like cold weather, alright?

All observations I post are for Temple, Texas unless otherwise stated.

Well, as usual, the widespread rain is dwindling.

The NAM shows only a very narrow band. Very narrow.

Most of DFW gets shut out unless you count .20 good when you expected 2 inches.

Looks like I will barely crack an inch, which will be better than much in Dallas or north of FW still.

Hopefully the HRRR is right showing more for DFW.

GFS and Euro keep pushing the northeast edge further into DFW.

Yeah so far this week I have recorded .22 my area also missed the big rains that hit the metroplex last Friday night.
