Just called and I missed out. Crap!!

Hurricane Girl - try your local pharmacies to see if you can still get one. Local hospitals give them out too. At a cost though. This year they were $30 at all Kroger Pharmacies. But flu shots were covered by our insurance this year and plentiful at our doctor's office so that's what we did.

Good luck. It's not too late to get one. Hope you can.

Heard today on the news that this year's particular strains of flu in a vaccine won't be effective against the flu strain projected for this winter's predicted VERY BAD influenza outbreak! :(

I get a flu shot every year. And every year they ask me for my Medicare forms. And every year I tell them I am not old enough for Medicare.

And every year if I get the flu, it is a pretty light case. They seem to work for me.

One of these years...about 8 more I guess, they are going to ask me for my Medicare forms and I'll say "here they are."

To which they will probably reply...

"Forget it buster, you're too old to get a flu shot!"

I heard the same thing. My friend that rode with me to and from Rehobeth Beach on Sunday and Monday had a cold. Now I'm starting to get a scratchy throat again...
