Tornado Watch 970

#1 Postby george_r_1961 » Wed Nov 19, 2003 2:06 pm

Well theres a tornado watch in effect for my part of Virginia. It is my feeling though that any tornadoes will be brief and weak; the main threat from this situation will be damaging straight line thunderstorm winds and VERY heavy downpours..possible resulting in some flooding.

Tornado watch 971 includes my area, up until 6 PM. I agree though, that any tornado in my area would be weak and that the bigger danger is damaging winds and flooding rains.

nothing really suggesting tornadoes showing up on radar..just some heavy rains.
