6th coldest high on record here barely lost to 2021 and 1983

Glad DFW is seeing a little. It's been a rough one for sure

The lake effect in eastern Tarrant county is something to behold albeit light. Parts of the mid cities will see a nice coating to 1” maybe more if it keeps up a while.

Road covered. More than I was expecting so a nice surprise.

Decently heavy light snow currently. Who knows how long it lasts, but I will take it. Humidity up to 83 and dew point rising.

Heavy downpour of ice pellets near Alderbranch between Palestine and Slocum. Porch is covered in ice. I expect the roads are about the same given today's temps. If you're in the area, I don't recommend driving, and if you do, be very slow and cautious.

A lot of the ground is covered. Not much, but it's been steady light for so long and so cold. Some good flakes now.

This lake effect stuff is something else.

Some of these thicker bands are dropping huge flakes.

The flurrries turned into light snow and partially covered the streets and cars. Still snowing at a decent clip. Better than nothing with this set up. Waiting on the big dog in February.
Quite windy as well. The wind chills are nasty.

Snow is getting heavier. Nothing more peaceful than watching snow fall. Natures Beauty.

Aside from this local lake effect, some moisture is increasing SW of DFW. Profile is cold enough for snow.

Well it’s snowing pretty good right now.. It’s not a lot here in southern Dallas County but i’m pleasantly surprised with the snow so far.

Snowing on the radar for Sherman, but not reaching the ground. The little snow we got last night is still there. Not enough to measure, but a solid dusting! Compared to nothing… I’ll take it!!!
