I saw that, we were in the maximum "wetter" shade. Avery Tamasco said all of the computer models were showing at least 2"-4" of rain over the next couple weeks, with some higher totals. He said it was rare to see that much consistency across the models.

About 1/3 of my students are actually here so far this morning. Some classes displaced due to broken pipes. Should have canceled. Above my pay grade...

I know this is not Texas-related, but I didn't know river effect snow was a thing

Yukon Cornelius probably the first week of february as a new alaskan ridge gets pumped up, that and the 30 day ensembles have the EPO really tanking, should also see a -NAO/ -AO combination as well, most if not all of February will be very cold across the lower 48, this thaw period will not be sticking around long at all

The cold and snow were fun but and I'm ready for some moderation after this weekend. More importantly I am ready for the big rains next week for Texas. The cold and snow chances will be back soon.

Hopefully this time SE Louisiana can get in on some snow this time instead of just ice. Been waiting since 2017

Looks like Friday and Saturday could be another multi day below freezing event for portions of North Texas.

Need to get more of Oklahoma and the TX panhandle filled in. Unfortunately a lot of that map is probably about to melt over the next week or two.

Looks like Tyler ended up down to 13F this morning. My house got down to 11F in Lindale. Tyler is going to end up with 54 hours at 20 or below and by tomorrow Tyler will be around 95 hours below freezing.

Yeah the snow is starting to get ugly here so it's time to move on for now lol

A lot of places in this state are still way down vs climo so far though. In most of the state Sundays snow was pathetic lol

He's usually right. Most accurate around that I've seen.
