We sit immediately under the bullseye in Texas. Have had 7" so far 2023 to add to the 11" of 2022. Very, very dry and under a Red Flag Warning for fire danger. Even tho not accurate, my car in San Antonio yesterday showed 108. We get up to a whopping 21% chance of rain way out on August 21st. (Yeah right)

I'm surprised the D0 area isn't extended farther NE into the Shreveport NWS CWA, but this is a "broad-scale conditions" map, and we've only become dry over the past month. NWS Shreveport has mentioned our local conditions as a "flash-drought" in previous area discussions. Is there a map available that focuses more on short-term drought impacts?
