Winter 2020-2021 :cold:

All observations are in Tecumseh, OK unless otherwise noted.

Winter posts are focused mainly for Oklahoma & Texas.

Take any of my forecasts with a grain of salt, refer to the NWS, SPC, and NHC for official information

A rare event for Wisconsin. I suspect February tornadoes in Wisconsin have occurred in the past.

My wife is from S WI and said they do happen from time to time in Feb.

In their recorded history, today's was the first observed during the month of February.

Definitely looking good for y'all up there. Hopefully it works out for Brent as well! It has a southern trend but still not quite close enough for the Falls to get much of anything though.

GFS has no snow here Sunday :spam: hopefully it's an outlier

I have been a little bothered by how unimpressed the GFS and GEFS has been today. I mean it has less than an inch... While the Euro EPS are 3-5 inches. That's how January was going and then all the sudden the Euro EPS joined the lower solutions. Hopefully it's not the same thing here

I think we need to start to focus on the Mesoscale models now

Tulsa first map with less than an inch :spam:

Is that the GFS caving to the Canadian? One run, but there's that window of opportunity showing up (17th-21st).

That's probably the last realistic shot of frozen precipitation across the southern half of the state. And maybe the last freeze risk of the season south of IH-10.

Looks like some fresh cold dropping down right where we want it in that timeframe if I am reading it correctly. And less than 10 days out.

It's getting closer to us but still awful borderline. I am in the same boat as you up there in it is hard to hold up hope with the track record this winter.
