Condolences to "LC"
If you aren't on Larry Cosgrove's list, you're probably unaware his mother passed away today (11/19/03) from complications of Parkinson's Disease, and finally pneumonia.
Larry has been a huge help to me during winter storms in formulating ideas for the email WREL WeatherCenter Updates; every occasion I've been stumped on p-types for a winter event here, LC has freely given his opinions and answered my questions. So, while being a member of his list I do consider him a friend.
Apparently this was not unexpected, but it is no less difficult for LC and my thoughts and condolences go to Larry and his family at this time.

Scott...Larry and I go back a couple of decades. If you have an e-mail address for him, perhaps you could send it under PM to me. I'd like to let him know I am thinking of him.
If not, please leave him the message that Steve from the American Weather Observer sends my condolensces.
Sorry to hear the news.

My condolences to Larry Cosgrove and his family.
I have been receiving Larry's Newsletter for quite awhile now; in fact since before I moved to central Florida 3 1/2 years ago.
Larry includes a lot of information for us to read every morning. I don't check my e-mail as often as I did when I had AOL, so I frankly don't read his newsletter in its entirety... even still I enjoy getting them and keep them for a couple weeks in case I want to refer to them.
