It was always one synoptic point, but I think 00z was 140 kt at least. Not sure why they opted to keep it 135 kt given it was essentially there by 00z.

Jokes aside, I think this increased its peak intensities by a little bit. I remember this being operationally assessed as having a 45-kt peak, though I might be wrong about that.

That just leaves Franklin. Hopefully we get it by the end of the week, though sadly James Franklin is no longer there to write it. In unrelated news, they updated the Otis TCR to add some extra data from Acapulco airport, or at least a pressure reading.

I think there was a window to upgrade Franklin to 135 kts, but 130 is also very reasonable.

That’s usually done by late spring/early summer, so likely next month (was the case last year).

And HURDAT is updated, so that's a wrap for 2023 stuff. They forgot to include the RMW values added in February 2024 but I'm sure someone will notice eventually.
