Re: Texas Spring 2024
A couple of pop-up showers and a few thunderstorms have managed to develop over the San Antonio metro this evening. Bonus rain on a day we weren't expected to get anything. I'll take it.

Yeah that cap has been able to keep things in check so far, although looks like new cells are going up north of Abilene. We'll see if they can sustain better than the first round did

Re: Texas Spring 2024
I'm optimistic much of the region will see above normal rainfall over the next month. Long-range models are in decent agreement in wetter than normal conditions across the area through mid May. Really hope it happens as this is a critical time of year to see rainfall for us.

10pm and finally one storm in Kansas
that has yet to be warned...
As late as Saturday Night someone here on the radio was talking about a historic outbreak
I mean I'm not upset it failed but like we are a very long way from that

There was so much hype for today. Severe weather just isn’t really panning out this year so far for whatever reason. Today definitely goes down as one of the bigger busts from within 5 days that I can remember.

Yeah and I'm pretty sure Thursday the front is gonna crash through before it can get going at least up here. NAM has us behind the front by late morning

And yet all of our premiums for homeowners insurance will sky-rocket!

I'm actually somewhat optimistic about Thursday here in DFW.
If nothing else, downburst potential looks good with the late afternoon / early earning timing and temps pushing 90*F.

Cool weekend ahead with highs in the 50s/60s. Record low maximums around this period is in the 50s. 21st (Sunday) record is 49 though, lowest of the bunch when the coolest day should be.

After Thursday I think we'll see a pretty big lull in severe weather for at least a week, if not more. But I'll take nice cool weather over big outbreaks any time

I think the severe weather will return at least later next week, like after April 23rd at least

Yeah there's some signals that the end of April into May could get interesting, which matches up well with preseason expectations.
