With our current and ongoing Space Weather/Solar Storms as a result of a rapid succession of coronal mass ejections, it's becoming more commonplace for Aurora Borealis sightings much further south then typical. In the last couple of hours, I read that there had been a few sightings (and pictures taken) of bright pink Aurora as far south as the Florida Keys. While this event may only result in ongoing Aurora's for a couple more days, we are quickly ramping up to this present cycle's most active period. That'll mean even more "M" and "X" Class flares to come along with increasing lower latitude Aurora sightings.
I figure this might be a good thread for those to post their photo, video, or "aurora chase" event details
