100+ along the Rio Grande, 105F in San Angelo and 97F in San Antonio. Rainy and cooler in the northeastern part of the state, could be worse.

I’m just waiting on the tropics to provide me some rain down here lol

The cell just NE of Royse City has gone severe.
The velocity on radar shows some pretty strong downburst winds with it.

Looks like in about 2-3 weeks the ridge should shift northward likely allowing tropical moisture to move into south TX.

Lost power again. Hope it won't be too long. Wasn't windy here but a ton of lightning.
What also sucks is that my Tempest weather station doesn't record rain during power outages, which is weird to me since it's solar powered... I would think it could store the data and then upload it once power/wifi is restored.

Did some quick Googling and found that they offer a Tempest Power Hub that should fix my situation. The problem is when the hub loses power it only stores a couple hours of data before you lose it if you don't have power restored. Seems like they could have done better than that but it is what it is I guess.

Today will make 10 consecutive days with at least a trace of rain at DFW. It's been quite a run.

Re: Texas Summer 2024
After tonight, it looks like DFW will get a few days to dry out before rain chances return. One interesting note, while DFW didn't officially come close to the 16.96" of May '15, many stations in the DFW area approached or passed that number.

Summer's for hibernation, Winter’s my vacation
Don't use my posts as forecast, I'm a complete meteorology noob! I just like cold weather, alright?
All observations I post are for Temple, Texas unless otherwise stated.

Had another severe thunderstorm warning and flash flood warnings here last night for the MCS. Just got upgraded to enhanced risk for another one today/tonight

I am in no way a professional. Take what I say with a grain of salt as I could be totally wrong. Please refer to the NHC, NWS, or SPC for official information.

Collin County's been included in the Flood Watch tonight.
CAMs apparently are fairly bullish in sending yet another MCS southeast out of OK late tonight / early tomorrow morning.

Yeah, models seem pretty set on sending yet another potentially significant MCS through NTX/NETX after midnight through about sunrise tonight/tomorrow morning.

Up stream watch. I would be glad if this one missed Collin County to the west.
