Seems to be an elongated circulation between the two NW and SE vortmax, with the center of rotation around 22-23N, 92-93W

Its going to look like that until the NW lobe is pushed inland. Any development imo will be close to landfall with the NW lobe out of the circulation

looks to be consolidating a touch. mid-level wind shift that recon found is broad still, yes, but less broad than before. doesn't hurt to also see some more deep convection near the implied "center."

if it can keep maintaining convection closer to the center of circulation i would expect continued organization and potentially a TS declaration sometime tomorrow. impacts the same regardless. all semantics at this point

a much more defined LLC appears to be developing and convection is starting to build over it....

Somebody might’ve asked this already, but will a less organized PTC 1/Alberto cause it to go slightly further north up the coast (closer to Matamoros)? Or will this thing head straight west no matter how organized it is (closer to Tampico)?

Those in the SE part of Texas from Brownsville northward, prepare for a good deal of rain.

This is me posting in spanish, but the important thing to watch is the radar, and it looks like it is more organized.

It's likely going just north of due west and should make landfall just north of Tampico, Mexico in about 24 hours. Regardless a large slug of moisture on the northern side of the storm will be moving into Texas throughout the day today. The northern extent of the heavy rain shield could make it as far north as central TX.

Well this sucks. I was really hoping for those 3+ inches of rain to help refill Canyon and Medina Lake. But I guess Lake Corpus Christi and Choke Canyon needs it more than we do. On the bright side, this should help alleviate Corpus Christi’s water woes for awhile. A blessing from above for the Body of Christ!

My guess is this one gets named literally right as it's crossing the coastline.

My posts are my own personal opinion, defer to the National Hurricane Center (NHC) and other NOAA products for decision making during hurricane season.

Nothing will change as far as its track. The only change is in what NHC calls it. I think NHC will call it Alberto in their next advisory. Recon appears to support a tighter LLC.

Well that is horrible - really needed to stay diffused and loose.
