I am in no way a professional. Take what I say with a grain of salt as I could be totally wrong. Please refer to the NHC, NWS, or SPC for official information.

Glad it finally got designated. This storm will probably depend on how strong Beryl bombs out.

At least half of Gfs Ensembles pull this out of the Carribean and into the Atlantic

Eastern Tropical Atlantic (AL96):
Showers and thunderstorms continue in association with an area of
low pressure located several hundred miles southwest of the Cabo
Verde Islands. Environmental conditions appear conducive for
additional development of this system, and a tropical depression is
likely to form by the middle part of this week while it moves
generally westward at 15 to 20 mph across the eastern and central
tropical Atlantic.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...medium...40 percent.
* Formation chance through 7 days...high...70 percent.

I still want to say it's doomed, just to be wrong and underline how favorable this season is IF it does amount to anything.

It's doomed.

Poor 96L getting overshadowed by the beast that is Beryl. This will still deserve watching as depending on how it goes it could be another Leeward Islands threat albeit I don't think it will be anywhere close to the danger that Beryl currently is.

Any other season, all eyes would be on this disturbance:

“Wow, what a vigorous system for this time of year! With such a good-looking and likely-to-develop invest in the MDR at the end of June, I can’t imagine what we’ll be seeing come peak season. We’ll have to watch this one very closely.”

But something about Beryl is stealing the spotlight…

No worries. There are plenty of eyes on this one. The environment doesn't look too good, but the track is an issue for now. Euro could use a win—it's been a tough start, at least in the short to medium range.

I think this will become the next TS, probably Debby with the way 94L is looking right now. Looks pretty good so far but that's a lot of dry air just to the north. I think this will have a hard time getting stronger than a TS or maybe minimal Cat 1 but that's what I said about Beryl and now it's a Cat 4...
