I am by no means a professional. DO NOT look at my forecasts for official information or make decisions based on what I post.
Goal: to become a registered expert over tropical and subtropical cyclones.

A thin W-ring is forming on Dvorak IR and the eye is becoming clearer on regular IR by the minute. Doesn't look like weakening to me

Lol I can understand that such a center fix would result in a raw T# of 2.1

The hurricane has been expanding in size too. Beryl is a persistent bugger. Recon is going to get their own 4th of
July fireworks when they enter Beryl later via lighting and turbulence.

-80C tops in the N eye wall again. This has been a persistent feature for several days; which is impressive for early July. Recon should be interesting again this evening.

I am only a meteorology enthusiast who knows a decent amount about tropical cyclones. Look to the professional mets, the NHC, or your local weather office for the best information.

The fix is scheduled for 7 pm CDT but the plane is enroute and the first useful data probably arrives before 6 pm.

All data is useful but the most interesting data will be well after 6 pm CDT.

Re: ATL: BERYL - Hurricane - Discussion
Not much doubt in my mind Beryl is regaining structure in all facets, it may take a while for the winds to reach Cat 3 again but I would not be surprised if they did. Side note Beryl seems to have it out for all the cruise line ports in the western Caribbean
