The one thing that particularly concerns me about this storm is how it's expected to move extremely slowly over the Panhandle and Georgia. This could be quite the flooding event should that pan out.

Unless explicitly stated, all info in my posts is based on my own opinions and observations. Tropical storms and hurricanes can be extremely dangerous. Do not think you can beat Mother Nature. Refer to an accredited weather research agency or meteorologist if you need to make serious decisions regarding an approaching storm.

Hopefully not a trend

That caught my eye as well.
They almost always go south of track in this area. It may hug the southern cone. Either way. I am on the dirty side in a mobile home so ef 0's are my concern.... :double:

This is clearly in that "steady organization and intensification" phase that frequently precedes rapid intensification. Hopefully it runs out of runway before that point but it's going to be a close shave. A double tap of hurricane landfalls in an area that typically doesn't see them is a reminder the atmosphere has no memory and a recent hit should provide no comfort..

Catastrophic flooding likely with this. Some 30" totals wouldn't surprise me in GA/SC

Iam watching people body surf the waves at Reddington beach. People are nuts. One guy is out quite a ways and you can see the undercurrent he struggles with at times.

Are my eyes playing tricks on me or does the latest radar loop make it look almost stationary?

ICON has a thin strip of the heaviest rain across NE Fl and then coastal SC, NC, Long Island and eastern Massachusetts (apparently a front drops enough rain to get amplified by Debby.

Once GFS is done we will know if it still has it screwing around or if it comes up.

Also check out the QPF. They must have had to add that shade of pink for 20+ inches for southern South Carolina.

Interesting views from Tampa radar. LLC and MLC split?
ETA - looks like maybe just a slight relocation or wobble.

The GFS shows some kind of reorganization of the center, which might be happening.

It does look like the vertical structure is still tilted based on recon data. The LLC might be relocating to the north east, under the MLC:

May or may not be fully stacked yet, but the difference in radar tilt depictions isn’t showing that. Radar tilts have a tradeoff between horizontal and vertical distance, so a higher tilt won’t be able to as far horizontally. Since Debby is so far from the radar site, its center isn’t as well captured by tilt 3 as it is by tilt 1

if it looks like a shrimp that indicates a maturing TS storm.
