Several of us saw this NE movement several hours ago. Having lived here for so long you come to know how these things behave in our neck of the woods. Rights turns or right side of cone are common and quick ramp ups are also common.
I know NHC is saying North but the radar is pretty telling. Still within the margin though so still great job from nhc. Just a matter of which city gets it.

My posts are my own personal opinion, defer to the National Hurricane Center (NHC) and other NOAA products for decision making during hurricane season.

Seeing those two masses vigorous rotate makes me thankful Debby is going to run out of open water sooner rather than later. We’d be looking at a much more devastating hurricane if she had another day at sea.

I'm not a meteorologist, but I did stay at a motel 8.
Re: ATL: DEBBY - Hurricane - Discussion
11PM details and discussion indicates no real NE bend. At best NNE or NNNNE and any idea of a Cedar Key landfall is way off. As I feared, from the getgo, another direct hit for us here in Perry, just like very destructive Idalia a year ago. Sigh.

Debby might still have a second act before she exits the stage. That being said, what happens over the next 24 hours is key as to the future of our 4th storm of the season. Can Debby veer far to the East to pull off coast, and how much of its structure can it retain? This storm has always been a fighter even before it was a storm.

Yep. I first noticed as well around 3 or 4. Just brought the effects that much closer to Pinellas. I think we'll be well over 10 inches of rain wjen its said and done and the wind is far more than I thought.

This is a pretty significant eastward wobble though. The NHC has it going due N as of 11pm due to the averaging of motion but the radar doesn't have much poleward motion atm.

Ugh, just checked on a back room that was an add-on to this house I recently rented late last year, and water came in. Was using it for storage (nothing incredibly valuable) but every box along the floor is soaked. Thankfully it's not connected to the central air & ventilation.

Not a bit of latitude change on the radar since 10:35pm edt. Looks pure east there. Recon please be correct.

People can go back in the models thread from earlier today and see it's going to come in east of the major models. Cedar Key still looks good to me. If so, at least it won't have much time to strengthen further.

NHC track moved East just a tad. Moved from just west of Scanlon to just East of Perry.
Lineman crews are stationed at St Teresa’s Beach and Valdosta.
For those who missed it last time I posted, I have family that leads a lineman crew and are part of emergency storm crews so I’m sharing internal info of emergency crew stations for this storm. There are other crews in TX and surrounding states on standby depending on need after the storm passes.
