I'm hearing thunder here at the office in Palestine. I checked my camera at home and see a decent downpour in Alderbranch. I hope some others luck out and get some rain.

Some nice surprise storms in SA this evening! I'm confident that we've seen the hottest conditions of the year already. While it will still be hot at times, temps should gradually decrease as we head into September.

Low to mid 90s in the forecast, stepping down is happening. For some it is a bit slower than others but summer is slowly losing grip.

And it’s raining up there, although probably evaporating because there’s no way rain suffices at jacuzzi temperature

Summer's for hibernation, Winter’s my vacation

Don't use my posts as forecast, I'm a complete meteorology noob! I just like cold weather, alright?

All observations I post are for Temple, Texas unless otherwise stated.

That early september front is looking stormy and much cooler for many, this will be a much welcomed treat for many as highs for most behind the front will be in the low- mid 80’s

Hopefully, this is the start of a pattern change. Also, the 00z Euro looks nice. I do have concerns that we will flip back to a summer pattern and see the Gulf Hurricane Season ramp back up.

I understand what you're saying about hurricane season and I asked a met friend yesterday if he thought the predictions would stand. He is holding to his which is 18/10/6. We might not get above 100 here in Houston for the first time this week, but it is currently 99.8f at my house so... we shall see. Last year has definitely been worse than this year heat wise. We moved into our new home on 8/24 last year and it was 109f. As for hurricane season I can't imagine "all" of the mets missing something that would bode poorly for their predictions unless there is some unprecedented physical event that happens that literally changes weather patterns and/or cools everything down.
