Leslie has been nice and harmless. Basically a third season of her 2012 and 2018 appearances

I am only a meteorology enthusiast who knows a decent amount about tropical cyclones. Look to the professional mets, the NHC, or your local weather office for the best information.

Still way better than Barry '19.

Milton dunking all over everything but Leslie providing the assist in keeping that Atlantic ACE counter ticking upwards. NHC has it remaining a hurricane for the next 36 hours.

I know all the attention is rightfully going to Milton right now. But I want to give a quick shout-out to Leslie, despite adverse conditions Leslie just keeps going and is a hurricane again. You go girl!

Leslie may be in deep shadows, but she's a fighter. Helping to boost the ACE by escaping the shear and Kirk's wake.

Let's go lollygagging Leslie!!!

Leslies' ACE just crossed 10 units - contributing (so far) 3.75 hurricane days. The EPS suite busted hard regarding peak intensity, but she's been a fighter and still contributing solidly to seasonal metrics.

I am by no means a professional. DO NOT look at my forecasts for official information or make decisions based on what I post.

Goal: to become a registered expert over tropical and subtropical cyclones.

She just won’t give up. Maybe making another Cat 2 attempt today.

Probably just a result of a still clouded eye, but it looks like Leslie’s trying to join the pinhole eye club

NHC now officially forecasts a Cat 2 peak (85 kt), and says there’s a chance Leslie could go higher. Maybe it has a chance of finally becoming a major hurricane?
