Absolutely insane tornado outbreak occurring in Florida.

My posts are my own personal opinion, defer to the National Hurricane Center (NHC) and other NOAA products for decision making during hurricane season.

yep, started a bit ago. So i guess they were right heh, if it doesn't come any further north, we'll have dodged a bullet.

This is crazy. I'm in NE Palm Beach County. There are tornados everywhere. One just crossed into Martin County. Somebody got it on camera and dang thing looked like a wedge.

I’m a few miles north of you and it’s bonkers right now. They’re all over radar and keep coming.

These are some big-ass tornadoes. Something one would see in the Midwest, not in a hurricane,

I didn't realize it had already dropped to 130 mph. Since a cat 2 is only 20 mph lower, I think it should be able to easily get down to that by landfall. Cat 2 is probably as low as it can go though. Obviously still dangerous, but we also have to look for anything encouraging when it comes to these storms.

It is starting to possibly re-intensify. Radar is looking better and better, and the CDO is cooling again.

I dont know how much any of that is going to matter with the amount of tornadoes we’re seeing. The surge will still be immense too. This is one awful storm.

I'm in Bradenton closed to the bay and this system is releasing a lot of energy.

This is what I was afraid of.
A very powerful hurricane interacting with a negative tilt trof.
I also wonder if the ionospheric heating currently over the area plays a role in this as well.
