If only Sara stayed a few degrees offshore, we could have had 3 rapidly intensifying TCs in different quadrants right now.

One thing I've noticed about sub-900 mbar storms (Patricia, Milton, Gilbert, Allen, and Wilma to name a few) is that they have extremely small eyes. Storms like Mitch and Dorian, despite being upper-echelon Category 5 storms in windspeed, had eyes that were bigger and their pressures bottomed out in the 900s.
The one caveat is Rita. Seems like the 180/895 peak coincided with a storm without a pinhole eye?

Unless explicitly stated, all info in my posts is based on my own opinions and observations. Tropical storms and hurricanes can be extremely dangerous. Do not think you can beat Mother Nature. Refer to an accredited weather research agency or meteorologist if you need to make serious decisions regarding an approaching storm.
