Josh does SHEM storms too? I didn’t know that. I thought he did NATL, EPAC and WPAC storms.

Maximum winds (averaged over 10 minutes) estimated at sea: 75 km/h.
Estimated maximum gusts at sea: 100 km/h.
Estimated pressure at center: 994 hPa.
Position on December 15 at 10 p.m. local time: 14.1 South / 37.3 East.
Distance from the Reunion coast: 2045 km to the sector: WEST-NORTH-WEST
Distance from Mayotte: 860 km to sector: WEST
Movement: WEST-SOUTH-WEST, at 24 km/h.
System Information:
- CHIDO continues its progress inland in Mozambique and has weakened to the stage of a moderate tropical storm. The center of the storm is located this Sunday evening on the south of the province of Niassa, bringing in its fairly restricted vicinity strong winds and sustained rains. Meanwhile, a clear improvement returns to the Mozambican coast hard hit this Sunday morning by the landfall of CHIDO at the stage of an intense tropical cyclone.
- Over the next few hours, strong winds and heavy rains will progress over southern Niassa Province and the far north of Zambezia Province. Disturbed conditions associated with CHIDO will then move across southern Malawi tonight through mid-day Monday, affecting Tete Province of Mozambique during the day and evening on Monday. Residents in these provinces of Mozambique and Malawi are advised to monitor the weather forecast through their national meteorological services.
- The system is expected to dissipate completely on Tuesday around Zimbabwe.
