Starting to see consistent signs of a big snow storm across the south I'm January

This place is almost exclusively a TX board. Just the way it is. I suggest staying in the TX thread and using what they post to help determine chances east of there.

Looking at January. The models are showing an active southern jet with multiple gulf low with cold air in place. Overnight Euro and Canadian show snow and ice down to the gulf coast

I thought December 1989 yall got snow. We did 60 miles SW of New Orleans. 2 inches of snow and a low of 9 degrees. I was 13 and remember like yesterday. Pipes burst through our attic

Some good snow events in the 90s.

What I'm excited about is the favorable pattern. This isn't the cold chasing the precipitation along a front. We have cold air already in place and an active southern jet overriding the cold. Hopefully trends continue

That would be great, last good Snow we had was 2017. Had good snows in the Hattiesburg area in 2009,2010, and 2017. But before the 2009 event, it was 1993.

Bases on today's runs, still a 50/50 chance NC sees some snow next week Tuesday.
