Okay so which one do we trust or lean towards at this point in terms of trajectory of this low pressure system as we stand now if you blend the two I guess what do you get, or will it strictly go one way or the other.

And I need to get some sleep, you guys are keeping me up and I have my grandmother's funeral to attend tomorrow. :( she was 98 and my other 98 year old grandmother is still alive. We are blessed.

But I will say this forum is helping me keep my mind off of that as well.

ICON and CMC love south Louisiana. GFS has the low too close to the coast and we get a very cold rain. Who will be correct?

Much condolences to you and your family, tough thing to go through.

There's no confidence where it will eject, just that it will eject out of the southwest. As long as you have a model on your side then your path is still open, anyone's guess really. What I noted this morning still stands, the north is chasing moisture while the south is chasing temperatures. GFS has precip everywhere just not as cold as the others for the south. CMC and ICON are cold for south the too, probably too cold for moisture in the north.

CMC gives me 9 inches in Colorado County. ICON gives me 3-4. Let’s see it Sunday.

Operationals continue to bring precip across the state next wk but the million $ question continues to be will we be cold enough for snow. No real help tonight in terms of concensus but we knew that.

ICON & CMC deliver for SC TX points east with low 40's/upper 30's across NTX Thursday and mostly dry.

GFS has warmer profiles across southern region and brings snow across the north.

But above all models continue to show where this could still go either way with borderline temps and precip types. Not a sure thing at all.

Even though its far out, the GFS shows yet another system diving down to the sw at day 10 with some lingering cold air still around, interesting pattern

Build that glacier as the change from positive PNA to negative happens. BOOM. 1977 all over again.

I believe it had that on the previous run as well. That’s good!

If you take a look back the pattern is loaded. We're basically repeating the same pattern but each time it's progressively colder. We originally saw something post new years and it's a huge blizzard about to cross the central plains. Next one a little more south with better snow cover, then the one after etc etc. It's not the one big blast (yet).

I believe the 12z eps hinted at this as well. I think it was bubba that posted the graphic this afternoon showing snowfall totals by eps member, and several of them showed accumulations at various times through the second half of the period - not just next week.
