Okay I have my old phone live streaming with no audio out my second story window looking to the east, so you guys can bookmark it and follow along throughout the day.

Let me know what y'all think :froze:

Looks good! You appear to have about the same amount of accumulation as I have in Bedford at this point.

This is what I was banking on for the prediction. 4-5 hours of it and we're golden. Tonight the further east/northeast you are the better your amounts.

I went to bed alarmed at warming temps. 34 this morning around 5 or 6. Then it started. Down to 32.2.

So if we can keep precip going without a big break, that may be key for DFW.

Mostly a sleet and snow mix in Saginaw/north Fort Worth. Had a huge clump of flakes.

White roofs and ground.

The best thing about all-snow tonight is that it will fall after sundown, so hopefully that will make accumulation easier.

In SE Frisco (Collin County) at 7:45a temp 35, DP 25. At 8:30, temp 32, DP 26. Probably already 1/3" of accumulation. Went from big fluffy flakes at 7:45a to graupel for about 10-15 minutes back to big flakes. Moderate snow happening now. :froze:

Yep, just a matter of how timing - how quick or delayed the change over happens when the strong isentropic ascent thru the DGZ occurs

Looks like temps are cooperating and a little cooler than I thought they would be at this time.

My wife sent me a picture. Snow and sleet have formed a sheet on the roads and driveways near Melissa. So much for the ground being above freezing.

ha the data doesn't lie, it's the best tool we have in the weather tool box. Can you imagine if we relied on the Ukmet or GFS from a few days ago? it called for almost all rain for all of North Texas today and tonight
