Lots of cold, wintery tears falling in East Texas!

Too early to tell but likely colder than the period now for sure. We're now under 300 hundred hours and the ops are showing strong cold more frequently in that time frame than they were before.

There’s also a really solid signal for above normal precipitation during this timeframe as well. Looks like some good potential is lying ahead of us.

It was real close but doesn't seem like we will win this time. I guess we could get lucky tonight and mid levels cool down as precip ends and get a quick inch early tomorrow.

I was wondering about those radar returns. We have been 80/20 sleet and light rain here for a bit, but some big flakes are starting to mix back in.

Snow in Texas, 8th wonder of the World

Don't use my posts as forecast; I'm not a licensed meteorologist! I just endorse cold weather, alright?

All observations I note are for Temple, Texas unless otherwise stated.

For DFW let’s hope the trend to all snow continues and we start to see some good totals. The plume of training precip goes back into Mexico.

But I’ve learned never to complain about rain even the cold variety lol.

Nice wishcast. We missed out this time, but we hit it big a couple of times, most notably 02/2021 when we got close to 12" at my house that stuck around for a solid week. Good times.

Cold rain has never bothered me. It can chill you to the bone but rain is rain no matter how you slice it. We pray for this in the summer.

Agree, same here. Has turned back to all rain again in Northern Dallas County. Lots of melting occuring on the rooftops as well.

Looking at radar, looking less likely to me that this continues well into the night....?

Not sure. Ostensibly the trough axis will swing through and create strong forcing and turn the entire column below freezing.
