Not sure my heart can be broken twice today.

Interestingly enough, temp has fallen to 33.4F here. Dewpoint has risen to 31.4F, but seems to have leveled off. I hope we can start dropping both a bit, just not sure that happens until very late. I seem to recall some models showing the temperature dropping in the afternoon, but then rising again through the evening. HRRR is trying to keep it interesting though, so that's still better than just accepting cold rain, I guess!

**Edit - also of note, we are getting dry-slotted it seems with precip to the south and precip to the west/north. Not helping my optimism... although it will fill in later.

That precip shield west of Waco means business. Trying to be patient.

Yeah, it's been steady here since about 1pm(?). Light to sometimes moderate. Snow would be cool (not ice), but still a good soaker! :rain: :rain: :rain:

34° here in Round Rock but just rain. Not complaining because we desperately need the rain. But we ended up oh-so-close in the temperature department.

Yeah, about 34 here. The "mixed bag" of precip is just to my west and north in Lago Vista and Leander (at least according to radar). Not sure of ground truth.

Radar depicts the edge of the storm is already east of Abilene. Time is running out.

Looks like 1.6" so far at DFW Airport. Need .8" more to tie the daily record.

No, y’all still have a big part of the night to accumulate nice snows, especially once it gets dark. I’m Northeast of Abilene and we could still see additional snow overnight. Should also be another chance between 3 am and 7 am in the morning.

I'm in Cedar Park. Still holding out hope as I told my 9 year old on Monday that we'd see at least a few flurries. Pretty steady rain right now and 35 degrees.

Latest HRRR says that is a lock. We should start seeing the transition back to sleet/snow and then all snow over the next hour or two.

I am puzzled. In SE Frisco the radar shows that it should be snowing (or something). But no precip is occurring. Very strange. Been this way for at least the last 30 minutes.

Lots of COOP stations in Williamson County are reporting 33°.
