The band seems to be intensifying on radar. So that may help some folks further east who missed out earlier.

The snow falling now is definitely more puffy than the heavier wet flakes we had earlier.

Yep I just called my mom she's in Carrollton. I was looking at the radar and she confirmed it is snowing there.

HRRR handled this morning well, but it hasn't handled the afternoon/early evening well so probably too bullish on those accumulations. NAM ironically actually did well with the rain transition it had shown for the afternoon followed by the thin sleet/snow band you're seeing now on radar.

The hard part about night snow is it's so impossible to see. The backyard has a floodlight close to our bedroom, so moved in there since this may be the last band. Lol. Can see it now. Definitely heavy. Slightly smaller flakes than morning but more numerous.

Interesting how each model had its strengths today.

Streetlamp one block away from me and I can tell snow is falling. I can hear it also so sleet is still in the mix.

Gotten at least a half inch, DFW could still break the record.

Of course OK is back building despite the fact I’m sitting at 99% humidity lol.

Snow is dropping now. Not heavy but big flakes. No wind and straight down.
