What models outside of the CMC are showing NTX and OK snow chances?

The Euro shows snow but its light in North Texas and Oklahoma. The 0z will be out shortly so we'll see if that changes or not.

Hmmm. Euro took a pretty big step towards the GFS at 500mb this run…

Yikes.

GFS might be about to score a major coup. Euro still has a storm, but much weaker and more suppressed. Not good.

At all.

The Euro was night and day different at 500mb than previous runs and much closer to the GFS. It still digs the system a little more, thus the precip it generates. But it’s much closer now.

Big shift in the 0z Euro Ensembles more towards the GFS. GFS may score a win here, when others thought it had no chance of verifying. Still early and additional changes are possible but it seems very possible after tonight's runs.

And im already waiting to be disappointed again, if its gonna trend dry, it might as well just trend sending the coldest air off to our east, dry cold is wasted cold

The suppression depression.

Wouldn’t surprise me if the Euro shows zero precip next run. What a disappointment. Hopefully it corrects back.

Hopefully the GFS changes its tune, but shouldn’t be expected, it always “ looks promising” on the models until it isnt

Bad trends on the models today for our area. Hopefully it shifts back further south with the snow.

Wasn’t a trend. It was always going to be an ice storm for our area. Old school common sense tells us that

Well sir, I hope your old school common sense is wrong this time cuz I want snow damn’t!

I don't like the model trend but at least they are very inconsistent and could trend better.

For now, I'm leaning against extra days off after MLK Day.
