A large shield of probable freezing mist or drizzle is moving into Travis County. You can see it well on texmesonet.

it is back down to 32 degrees here at the Rain Cave. I pulled out my digital thermometer to confirm. Time to turn on my giant heat lamp....

Just watched the latest briefing from the NWS Houston they are really bullish on snowfall potential down here in Galveston County.

Here is my reminder to report precip to the mPing app so we can track where it is reaching the ground. Some returns showing in my area so I will report if I see any flurries on the drive home in a few minutes. Temp is 34 here so even if it doesn't reach the ground it should cool us to below freezing.

Thought I saw something earlier but I doubt it. It’s 24% humidity with a DP below zero and temp around 31. Sublimation.

Looks like some amping reports of drizzle in houston. Here it comes and everyone is still forecasting a fairly bullish snowfall. 42% chance of 6 plus inches in houston according to the nws.

No precipitation reaching the ground in Austin. I'm about to go for a walk on the hike and bike trail Downtown, temp is above freezing at my current location.

In east austin. Temp is back around 32/33 now, after briefly getting to around 35. I just took the dog out and I could have sworn I saw something fall from the sky, but it was probably just wishful thinking.

mPing reporting drizzle in Houston. Radar has very light echos popping up. Any of you seeing this?

With a DP low teens Houston metro area, on the one hand- any drizzle falling now will evaporate quickly, on the other hand, temps will wet bulb below freezing quite quickly.

Lol! Last time I saw snow was 2022 when I went to Idaho Falls. It was pretty brutal though. Got down to near zero. Snot was frozen.

Dewpoints too dry...going to take a little more time for things to fall as atmosphere begins to slowly moisten with moisture coming off gulf. Mostly virga right now

Nothing near 1960/TC Jester, but I can't see the base of the clouds like I could before, some virga must be obstructing my view.
