Still haven’t transitioned from sleet to snow I’m hoping that happens in the next hour.

29F in SW Houston with light snow. Small snowflakes. About 1" or a little more so far. Louisiana is going to really get the snow today. I hear Lake Charles issued a blizzard warning??? Wind only gusting to 35 mph. I guess that makes a blizzard in south Louisiana. Galveston sea buoy reporting NE 45 gusting 60 kts.

I have about 4 hours left until precip is over still don’t have any snow accumulation. This is looking like it is going to be a bust for me.

Waking up to a blizzard warning with at least 2" of snow on the ground here in Lafayette. I have no words!

Congrats. This is probably a once in a lifetime storm for Southern Louisiana and points east to the Florida Panhandle

Same. Just a crusty layer of frozen sleet and ice, glazing the island in white. But no actual snow accumulation here in Galveston.
I’m still going to have French toast and hot chocolate for breakfast.

Yep we got the same. One shower that produced flakes otherwise had continuous very light snow grains. I am sure hoping for a late winter I20 event to cap off this winter.

NWS employee got a bit excited with a little snow and wind and issued a blizzard warning. I believe wind gusts to 35 mph don't qualify for a blizzard.
About 2" here in SW Houston and snowing pretty hard now. This is the only good reason for the temperature to drop below 80. How much are you folks in D-FW getting?

In Weimar, snow covering the grass and sidewalks. Thank goodness for no frozen pipes and the pool is running. Stay safe out there.

Re: Texas Winter 2024-2025
DFW's total for its storm was 2.6", so it'll be interesting to see if Houston can beat that.
DFW, Houston, New Orleans, Atlanta, Memphis and Nashville all seeing 2"+ snowfalls in 2025 was definitely not on my bingo card.
In all, certainly not a winter to complain about in areas where snow/cold are at a premium...
