Freezing fog is basically just fog (or reduced visibilities) when the temp is below freezing.

The mist from the fog when below freezing does have the tendency to stick to and form a glaze of ice on cold surfaces.

Last measurement I took was 8 inches. I’m in south Baton Rouge, very near the Iberville parish line. Still snowing but not as hard. I just can’t get over this, never seen anything like it. Probably a once in a lifetime event.

On the beach in Biloxi Ms, close to 4 inches and coming down hard, it’s unbelievable!

I've never heard of those kind of accumulations anywhere in S. Louisiana before. To think that a white carpet of at least an inch or greater of snow might spread from there eastward to much of the Florida panhandle is mind boggling
