Baton Rouge officially reporting Heavy Snow and ‘Freezing fog” what exactly is freezing fog? Btw family members there all say this is the most snow they’ve seen in BR and it’s still coming down heavy.

Freezing fog is basically just fog (or reduced visibilities) when the temp is below freezing.

The mist from the fog when below freezing does have the tendency to stick to and form a glaze of ice on cold surfaces.

What's it like over in P'cola now. Looks like you're getting a good band.

Thats just TOO cool! I'd love to see some video of that! Looks like a good slug of that may very well make it over/near Tally as well?!

Last measurement I took was 8 inches. I’m in south Baton Rouge, very near the Iberville parish line. Still snowing but not as hard. I just can’t get over this, never seen anything like it. Probably a once in a lifetime event.

That's just amazing; Ground at near full "white-out" already. Imagine what a few more hours would look like

On the beach in Biloxi Ms, close to 4 inches and coming down hard, it’s unbelievable!

 I've never heard of those kind of accumulations anywhere in S. Louisiana before. To think that a white carpet of at least an inch or greater of snow might spread from there eastward to much of the Florida panhandle is mind boggling :cold:
