Hours of light snow here in Denison. Probably an inch, maybe 1.5” of light, powdery snow. The road in front of our house is snow covered. Nice surprise to see this morning! :D

Lake Lewisville lake effect snow machine is cranking this morning….moderate snow, seeing reports on an inch plus in some spots. Hwy 161 and 635 corridor. That lake has an ideal orientation for lake effect if conditions are right

Currently 18° here. Reports of snow flurries too in Travis and Williamson counties. Love it!

Heavy flurries (is that a thing) here in Cedar Park.

I made it down to 30°F with a wind chill of 16°F. Not too bad, I suppose.

Your move has paid off in a big way and in a few more weeks you’ll get to go chase naders.

I read some the DISD comments on X. They weren't pretty. Teenage end of the world type stuff with some vulgarity that made me blush.

Summer's for hibernation, Winter’s my vacation

Don't use my posts as forecast, I'm a complete meteorology noob! I just like cold weather, alright?

All observations I post are for Temple, Texas unless otherwise stated.

Just got a morning fire going to start the day. Flakes are picking up and are getting bigger. Won't last long but will enjoy every moment of the snow. Then I have to be responsible and go do stuff.

!Weenie alert! These are the moments most of us crave and look for every winter. Spend hours looking at maps and models for days hoping for the best. To quote an old commercial for Old Milwaukee beer from the 80s, " You know, it doesn't get any better than this." My age is showing.

Slower to cool over here. 24F currently. Had some freezing drizzle overnight. Roads are wet in spots but weren't slippery in my short commute.

It was a pleasant drive into work this morning. Left home about 6:45 and got to work at 7:20, which is 15-20mins faster than normal. Roads didn't have the usual amount of traffic. It was neat driving in the snow up until the point I had to get out of my truck and walk into the building. No icy road issues on the streets through Wylie, Murphy and Plano.
