Southern end of the line is coming into Austin and San Antonio, though not looking at any warnings down there as of now.

Still, much-needed rain (I'm sure they take anything they can get).

We'll see how much tree damage occured with more light. It probably would've been much more dramatic visuals after the trees leafed out but many still haven't.

Models are getting more aggressive with the next storm system this weekend. Several of them are showing snow in NW Texas and Oklahoma. And OUN has already added a slight chance of snow to the forecast on Saturday, temps are borderline but something to watch.

Pretty strong wind with very heavy rain with the line that moved through Longview this morning.

My boss's shed landed in my backyard. Fences are fine so it went airborne.

Yikes! This reminds me of the Derecho that I experienced last May when I lived in Houston. There were uprooted trees, glass blown out of the skyscraper’s ,roof damage, and down power lines everywhere, I was without power for 3 days. It felt like going through a Hurricane.

Although damage like this isn’t unheard of from straightline winds, the collapsed wall in Irving and roof damage at Plano west seem a bit excessive for a gust or two to 75-80mph. Damage surveys to confirm, but I’m wondering if brief spinups are responsible for these particular instances. There was that weak cc drop this morning and I did see a small supercell-esque storm just ahead of the line go through west Plano this morning.

The Irving damage would be the likeliest in my opinion if one were to be confirmed a weak tornado. The CC drop on radar was south of highway 183 (which is where this video coverage is, familiar with it) in this vicinity and later produced that 78mph at Love Field.

At least for the wall collapse, another complicating factor is with the relatively wet winter and the age of the complex (built maybe in the 70s or 80s), the wall was already pretty weak structurally and didn't need too strong of winds to eventually give out.

As far as the roof damage, that's pretty normal with hurricane force straight-line winds.

On second thought, after the different vantage point in the video below, I'm more convinced Irving may have been a tornado...

My dad lives in Castle Hills, number 1 on the list above, and yup lots of damage there.

Radar velocities looked impressive with 70+ all over me, but frankly, it didn't sound all that windy. Mabe 40-50.

Not that I'm complaining. Well, maybe I would like to get my roof replaced in the next month before insurance goes up to the 2 percent deductible. But, otherwise...

I need to figure out why my weather station didn't record any rain. Should have had around an inch here. The rest of the station was working.
