CAP most likely held and prevented these from going surface based. A bit surprising in that we hit 90 degrees, and we had the frontal boundary literally on our doorstep but that won't be the case after midnight. Should see numerous storms develop.

Unfortunately the HRRR was too bullish...should've known to be cautious with the other models not too excited about the first round. Still hoping the line can extend far enough south to give SA some beneficial rainfall later tonight. Some of the 0z high res models are a little more optimistic.

If we can’t get a storm to go up with this much moisture and instability with a front looming overhead then I’m not sure what will deliver down here

All 3 models of the NAM's suite are now in agreement showing moderate to heavy snow here tomorrow night.

Considering where some of these models were though just 24-36 hours ago in terms of keeping the heavier rainfall centered further NW, I reamin optimistic despite the tease we got across SA earlier. Lift obviously won't be an issue and with the boundary continuing to be stalled out on our doorstep around Boerne area (which I figured models were too far north over the last few days), I think a swath of 1-2 inches seems like a good bet somewhere north of highway 90 and south of Kerrville to Blanco line.

As long as we get a good drink of water for the aquifer recharge zone (NW Bexar) and for some of the area lakes like Medina for example that's another win for this area.

Yeah that's a monster NE of Uvalde/west of Sabinal. Need to watch that one for sure.

Permian Basin/West TX getting some much needed rainfall the last couple of nights. Happy to see them cash in- I grew up in Midland and my folks still live out there.

Rain is always welcomed in that area any way you can get it.

Edit: False alarm thankfully...but velocities looked scary there for a few scans

Wow just had a big hail storm move through the ground is almost completely covered with hail. The hail took a lot of new growth off the trees.Severe thunderstorm warning for 3 nights in a row now.

I’ve only lived here since last Summer, and this area sure seems like a magnet for storms.

Yes finally and widespread so most Metroplexers should benefit. I miss day storms but no complaints here.

I'm gonna be very surprised if we make that. I keep remembering the storm in March that stayed entirely west of us
