Any thoughts?

Rain cooled air playing with me?

Obs around the state this morning nothing is remotely close for lows. Nearest place in the low 50s even is far NW and western panhandle.

Has to be an error. I got down to 66 and am usually cooler than much of the metro.

You wouldn’t get colder than the dew point.

Today looks pretty promising for more storms today in the Hill Country. Mesoscale models show more activity later this afternoon and evening.

It feels pleasant outside, we're going to have lows in the 50's this week.

I just saw a Reed Timmer going northbound on 35W through Denton. I was heading Southbound on 35W to go to my home
He was stuck in some traffic driving slow with the windows down.

I almost tried to holler at him but my traffic was moving a little bit faster.

Never seen that car up close, pretty cool it was the Dominator.

Pattern looks to remain active across SC TX. Not unusual to have an uptick in severe weather and heavier rainfall around the Memorial Day holiday, but hopefully we can stay greedy and keep the rainfall going before the summer pattern eventually takes over although if you buy the CSV2, that may be delayed a bit even as we head into June. Fingers crossed on that.

On a different and more somber note, today marks the severe weather/tornado outbreak of 1997 (28 years ago) across Central and SC TX. This outbreak included the catastrophic F5 Jarrell tornado, which tragically took the lives of 27. The Jarrell tornado remains as the last F5 on record within the state. Below is the event summary page from the NWS forecast offices in Austin/San Antonio and Fort Worth/Dallas for those interested.

Two days in a row in the 60s here at the end of May. Crazy

I mean yeah it's gonna warmup obviously but I'm still not seeing anything that hot. Average high is already well into the 80s

Well the plot thickens now this morning it says it's 63° outside so it's still working. Not sure why it dipped down to the 40s the last two mornings.

Don't worry about the slight chill in the air, we will be approaching 100 again by 2nd week of June. :sun:

More beneficial rainfall overnight with 48 hour totals now ranging anywhere from 4-6 inches across a good portion of the SA metro and southern HC, specifically falling across the Edwards Aquifer recharge zone which is even better.

Nice to see some of the area lakes also getting some much needed rainfall.

Btw...speaking of Edwards Aquifer, where is my neighbor Edwards Limestone at? I would've thought I'd be reading
multiple comments from you my friend celebrating all this liquid gold especially after all the doubts you've had with our weather fortunes as of late. Been a tough road at times no doubt but we're making up for it this week

Hope you're enjoying this. Let's keep it going.

GFS/ Euro keep the wet pattern going well into the 2-3rd week of june, even NOAA’s 3-4 week outlook through the 20th is reflecting that, may have a delayed start to summer, can’t complain about that!

No sign of the summer ridge through the extended forecast (2nd week in June). It’s coming eventually, but the later the better.

Watching the beginning of June closely as
Models show another potent trough ejection and cyclogenisis on the Lee side of the Rockies.Producing plenty of low level shear with rounds of storms forming off the dryline. Could be another outbreak sequence for traditional tornado alley. Similar to a couple of weeks ago, we”ll see…

Maybe some extra moisture to work with next week?
