Thanks everyone, it’s been a long time coming! Storm2k has been an integral part of my meteorological journey, and this community has truly fostered a space for learning, growth, and genuine passion for meteorology. I’m incredibly grateful for the insights, discussions, and friendships built along the way—I have learned an incredible amount from current and previous members (not just meteorologists).

So this is a huge thank you to all the past members that have been posting here for literally decades, a welcome to all the new members, and an encouragement to those who are obsessed with meteorology to pursue your passions. I started posting here as a young teenager almost 20 years ago, and told myself I would one day become a meteorologist. Dream big, and make it happen!

I'm excited to say I was accepted to graduate school at FSU, and will be working under Dr. Bourassa studying rapid intensification events in tropical cyclones. I'm super excited to continue learning more and having the ability (and space) to share and discuss this with everyone at Storm2k. and of course...GO NOLES!!

Congrats, US Tropics! Your ability to explain meteorological concepts to educated laypeople is extraordinary. Great to hear you will still be able to participate here as you continue your studies!

Congratulations!! So, you must have been excited out of your skull that Aug 12 2007 when you joined S2K. I'm guess what "was to be" Hurricane Dean must have been percolating out in the MDR around that date when you joined (at 4:45 a.m.? .

Looking back to 2007, that Atlantic season finished at 15/6/2.
You should go with those numbers for your 2025 STK Hurricane Season prediction LOL!
