403 Forbidden Errors
Hi everyone,
The last few weeks I keep getting 403 - Forbidden errors which prevent me from reaching the website. It's now so bad that I can't access Storm2k like 50% of the time. And sometimes without changing anything it does suddenly work. I am now on my phone's mobile data and there it does work so it might be something IP or Wifi related. Anyone experiencing the same thing or does someone know how to fix it?
Kind regards,
Kevin

Mine is now doing this as well out of the blue. Any suggestions? Using Chrome or Edge, same thing. Works fine on mobile data but not when I'm on wifi.

Is it still occurring for you?

Mine still had the same issue, but only when I was connected to one of the wifi networks. This was suddenly resolved about one or two weeks ago, so now everything is back to normal.

It is, it's the craziest thing. On my personal laptop, desktop and phone at home, on my wifi, 403 error. But using my work laptop, same wifi, it works. I know the internet goes through some type of filter or firewall for work, but it's not an explicit vpn. On my previous work laptop (when I posted originally) it worked on that one too.

This also happens to me, if I’m on my home WiFi network I get that error, but if I disconnect and use my phones data I can access it with no issues.

For the past several days I'd been experiencing this issue too and thought my computer had a virus or something. Fortunately, I'm now able to access the site.

I experienced that issue on my phone last Sunday, but was away from home at the time and it was back up on both my phone and desktop when I got back. I thought the site was down at the time but never saw anyone else mention it.

Re: 403 Forbidden Errors
I began experiencing 403 Forbidden on my home PC back in late May.
I was not able to access Storm2K through my home PC, phone or I-pad.
Away from my home my phone and I-pad could access Storm2k.
This never occurred with any other sites that I accessed.
Each day I tried to access Storm2k. Suddenly about a week ago Storm2k became accessible.
I never changed my home IP address, though I was considering to do that.
So far a week out I am still able to access Storm2k and hopefully continue as the heart of the tropical season is nearing.

Just wanted to update I can now access the site on my home WiFi after months of getting the 403 error.
Thank you if anyone fixed it somehow lol.

Re: 403 Forbidden Errors
For those that previously posted.. Have you encountered the issue since you last posted on this thread?

Thanks for the update. The filters we have in place to identify bot/malicious traffic appears to have flagged several legit users. I made changes, which likely resolved your issue. If you do encounter any other abnormal issues, please send me a message.

Can you message me your IP address and which browser you're using?

I'm not getting them anymore. I do wonder if anybody else had that issue though.

Re: 403 Forbidden Errors
I've been having this same problem since the malicious traffic issue in may. Best I can tell the cutoff is at the ISP level or at least beyond a local issue as I have attempted to fix it in every way possible at the local level - flushed DNS, tried every DNS server, etc. I can still only connect via a non-Frontier WIFI connection, which for me is mobile data or a VPN.

Re: 403 Forbidden Errors
I have the same issue as Travorum, I believe. Frontier, and I have to use my mobile data or hotspot to my phone to access the forum.
