Gang,
I remember in years past that we would include 2 and 7-Day development percentages in parentheses at the end of thread titles for areas of interest highlighted by NHC in their TWOs. This included both Invests and pre-Invests, and I'm pretty sure it was just for the discussion threads, and not the model threads.
I wanted to get a feel for whether a majority of members here would like to see the practice of that come back as a sort of unofficial policy. If you would, take a few minutes give it some thought on whether you'd like to see it, or if it's not all that important to you.
Feel free to include your comments/feedback in this thread. Thanks!
Thread titles for all NHC AOIs will now carry 2/7-Day Development Percentages!

Re: Poll: Should Thread Titles Include 2/7-Day Development Percentages?
Absolutely. This seems to me as a total no-brainer particularly when considering S2K Forum "ease of use" for new members and guests and/or less frequent forum users.
Firstly, doing so offers an immediate "quick blush" update for that given system's thread. Secondly, doing so might help better distinguish between multiple disturbances being tracked by NHC. I believe this will help those seeking up to date dialog on any given disturbance to more easily identify the correct thread to enter.
Now, if you want to get REAL creative, S2K could theoretically "color highlight" each individual thread titles (yellow, orange, & red) to further highlight and differentiate multiple disturbances while also duplicating NHC's TWO disturbance color code scale.

Unfortunately, phpBB won't allow for this. If you highlight the thread title and click "Font Colour", the code text gets placed in the Message box instead of the Subject box. And if you try to manually add the codes into the Subject box, instead of the title text changing color, the codes get added to it, and it winds up looking something like this:
Code: Select all

Nope, that wouldn't be a good solution then. Oh well, it was just an outside the (Hebert) box thought

Re: Poll: Should Thread Titles Include 2/7-Day Development Percentages? UPDATED!
OK gang, based on the poll results and feedback, with the introduction of the AOI in the MDR at 8 PM EDT SAT, we're going to adopt an unoffical policy of putting the 2-day/7-day chances for TC development at the end of every thread title for an NHC AOI, including Invests.
What I would ask the members to do is this:
If you start a thread, make sure you keep the percentages up to date.
If you didn't start the thread, but notice it's not up to date, let a mod or admin know about it.
Thanks!
