My First Youtube Video about Weather

#1 Postby WaveBreaking » Tue Aug 05, 2025 12:57 pm

I just wanted to show you all this YouTube video that I just uploaded about lightning in hurricanes. Feel free to give feedback since this is the first time I’ve made this type of content.

(Idk if this post fits more here or in Off Topic, but I posted it here since it does have to do with hurricanes. Mods please move this to Off Topic if you feel that it doesn’t fit in Talkin’ Tropics)

This video was AMAZING :notworthy: it was really cool and informative. It will definitely help me when doing stories/comics with my hurricane characters...

speaking of which, is there a way that dry air intrusion can increase lightning in hurricanes? I remember seeing a few people on Storm2K say this, and I used the concept in a story I posted here, but I'm not sure it is actually accurate :D

You gotta use [youtube5] instead of [Youtube] to get videos to embed now.

Code: Select all

Nice job. Slow your tempo a little, modulate your voice a bit more, and take the time to clearly enunciate each word so that they do not blend into each other. You have a very good voice for video presentation 8-)

Thanks. And I think dry air can increase lightning in hurricanes, but I’m not 100% sure. I think I’ve seen it happen before with hurricanes that are interacting with mid-latitude upper-level troughs.

You gotta use [youtube5] instead of [url] to get videos to embed now.

Code: Select all

[youtube5][/youtube5]

Unfortunately, this solution isn't working for me. I got it to work perfectly last year, and even helped others who were having difficulty embedding YouTube videos. But neither the Youtube nor Youtube5 method (ensuring I include the trailing 5 in the closing tag when using the Youtube5 option, of course) are doing the trick now.

Make sure you are getting the proper link to the video. I'll use Levi's latest video for TT as an example - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2MoAT-26LdI

For instance, just copying and pasting the URL at the top directly (like I did above in the link) will not work:
Image

This does not work:

Code: Select all

[Youtube5]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2MoAT-26LdI[/Youtube5]

If you right click the video and get the actual video URL like this:
Image

Code: Select all

[Youtube5]https://youtu.be/2MoAT-26LdI[/Youtube5]

That should work every time:

That worked!

Thanks so much. :P
