Not a full-on-fall front but a decent start.

Definitely give you Goosebumps.

On yesterday morning's walk I could taste of hint of it - less humidity and cooler. This morning it was almost crisp indeed, coupled with a beautiful NE breeze. :D

The upcoming Labor Day weekend forecast is almost unbelievable. 83/81/83/85F for Friday-Monday? Wow!

I mowed before going to school, and it was nice…. I have a robot doing the back now that I figured it out. Haven’t quite figured out the front mapping so manually mowing still.

The front luckily got through DFW at least!

Looks like the front will ease back up to the north (at least to the Red River) for the next few days before the reinforcing shot early this weekend.

Yes, the first front is like an appetizer, the front will move back up as a warm front tomorrow into Southwest Oklahoma. We will have a brief warm-up for a day and a half or so. And then Thursday evening another front with more sustained cool air will move through just in time for the Labor Day weekend. Why you can’t rule out more warm-ups as it’s still summer after all. Temps look to stay below normal into September. It also may get pretty stormy the beginning of the month.

It’s almost 3 pm and it’s only 74 degrees here.Believe it or not some of the trees are already starting to change colors here. It’s subtle but if you look for it you will see it. That’s one thing that surprised me when I first moved up here in mid September last year was that the trees were already changing colors.

12z Euro continues to show shots of cooler/ fall like air even through the end of its run , at least the first 2 weeks of september look to be below normal, still will have some warmer days beyond that, but the pattern im seeing definitely leads me to believe that summer is on its death bed

Northeast Pacific ridge has been a factor of late. Even though we have hot ssta over Japan -PDO, the eastern basin is not reflective. There is probably a low frequency pattern shift masked by the continuous warming east of Japan, not your traditional -PDO.

Curious to see if this will translate into winter. The last big PDO shift was 2013.

The big “cobblestone” ice storm was one of the events that happened in December 2013.

A -EPO dominant winter tends to send down more cold air than usual with persistence. Winter 2013-2014 featured the most freezes of the past 3 decades.

Just got done looking at the 12z Euro, if you like legit fall weather, you’re going to love the Euro, several strong fall fronts clearing the gulf coast over the next few weeks, really nice run!!
