#1 Postby ScottNAtlanta » Sat Oct 11, 2025 10:05 pm

There are some strange looking tracks on the models. Does a loop back to the SW after seemingly going out

Odd track aside some models are depicting a very compact system, almost like the polar opposite of the last Lorenzo (2019) which was massive. Perhaps the ambient dry environment the NHC denoted is partly to blame?

Related to this, the 18Z EPS has most of the active members loop in a circle back to the MDR but then behind that other MDR AOI!

12 Z kills it, but the vorticity remains coherent enough that you can track it as it loops around and then eventually enters the Caribbean, where it helps to jumpstart future Melissa, which then tries to pull a Sandy.
