Still with 55 kt FL, so not at the center. This might surpass Labor Day as the strongest landfalling hurricane in the Atlantic. Beyond words

This has beaten Milton in pressure, and with 170 kt flight wind, I would argue it’s either tied or slightly beaten Allen.

This is such a terrible situation and my heart goes out to Jamaica, the most intense landfalling hurricane in 90 years (maybe ever, the HDOB cut off before the exact center) and its intensifying into a mountainous region right up until landfall.

893mb and with a 55 knot flight level wind... we're probably 892-891. Unreal. We're about to see a sub-900mb landfall in the Atlantic.

My posts are my own personal opinion, defer to the National Hurricane Center (NHC) and other NOAA products for decision making during hurricane season.
