There was this post from the minister of agriculture of Fyffes Pen/Brompton, which is inland and slightly east of Crawford:

Also just found this from the Sandals resort just west of New Hope:

Anticyclone keeps about the same relative position and intensity as pre-Jamacia landfall

RMW maybe larger than what models are forecasting.
Bermuda better batten the hatches.

This is our sixth time in the cone and third hurricane warning of the season. People are over it, and no one is preparing much.

She's a shell of what she was, but Melissa certainly isn't giving up without a fight. She's not pretty at the moment, but I've certainly seen worse after spending a day over the mountains of Cuba.

Even in its lackluster state, this system’s ability to generate deep convection is pretty impressive.

Man, looks more like tornado damage.

Those winds must have been absolutely insane

Looks pretty strong. How high do winds need to be for a whiteout like that?

The NHC is showing 10 kts of intensification within the next 24 hours. They note it could be low since several hurricane models have Melissa becoming a major hurricane again.

Not only are the buildings destroyed, but the trees are also denuded or snapped. That is something I only typically have seen from Cat 5 landfall imagery. That is heartbreaking.

Looks super strong, but definitely nowhere near what the most battered areas got as the peak came ashore, those areas have been completely flattened.

Here's an overview of Melissa's structural evolution as it crossed over Jamaica and Cuba as shown in microwave imagery. You can see how the inner core actually managed to survive with its structure intact, but the land interaction precipitated the outer band developing into a secondary eyewall of sorts. I'm not sure but this might be because the outer bands in the NE were over water before the core was, I recall those bands producing deep convection right as Melissa cleared Jamaica. You can then see the mountains in Cuba finally destroy the inner core's structure and those outer bands/proto-secondary eyewall begin to contract down and form the new, broader core that's open in the SE/SW.

Lots of debris and some damaged roofs but most of the walls are standing. That’s what happens when you build with concrete. Florida take note.
