CORRECTION: 85*F was the high.
It is now 45-47 around the area. That's a nearly 40 degree temperature drop in a span of about 6 hours.

Don't hold me accountable for anything I post on this forum. Leave the real forecasting up to the professionals.

Yeah I couldn't get anything to load for hours
I saw a 50 degree swing here from yesterday

Still feeling optimistic about January at some point too
Not sure it'll be as soon as the second week but who knows

The models are showing some convergence. High latitude blocking continues, and a favorable storm pattern at 500mb. Things are looking much better and we may soon have something to track. Potential will be there for big tickets.

AccuWeather does have sleet on the 8th. That's the first window the EPS has hinted at
I wouldn't be surprised if it's later in the month for the true storms though

Ensembles really got that classic arctic outbreak look tonight, that is about as favorable of a - EPO position that i have seen in a while , trough centered over the western and central plains, while we just need enough cold air for a system to take advantage of, the look tonight looks more like a massive dump of cold arctic air

Yeah the ensembles are lining up now, which means we can start putting some belief beyond 200+ hours from OPs. Teleconnections coming together by mid month. Very excited now about what may come together.

Some big members here on the EPS again around the 8th 9th
Wonder if that may lay the groundwork for a bigger cold snap if it happens

Don't use my posts as forecast; I'm not a licensed meteorologist! I just endorse cold weather, alright?
All observations I note are for Temple, Texas unless otherwise stated.
