40/35 was the coldest day of winter was in December (1st of the month wow!) for DFW. Not sure the highs on Saturday will top but the low temp should. So technically this would be the coldest air mass, to date, for the season...bar is not high. We take.

Looking at the 12Z and 18Z GFS & Euro, y'all may need to head to the Florida Panhandle if you want to see some snow on Sunday.

Very interesting, especially since this is 72 hours out, surprising to be honest

2 days from now. Inching closer, pun intended.

And yet, we’re trying to look at operationals for precip 10+ days out. Hell, they can’t even get it right inside of a few days.

Re: Texas Winter 2025-2026
If it wasn't coming from the GFS I'd be a little more inclined to buy in but there has been some shifts west obviously in time now regarding the trough however being it's still positively tilted when it moves down into Texas so I wouldn't expect much in the way of moisture until it taps into the gulf and you get that sw flow (negatively titled trough transition) across the SE
This may end up being a scenario where the further south you are the better your odds are should other models fall in line.

Yeah, but it's hard to ignore the consistency of the last three runs

For areas across the SE yes.

Interestingly enough, the high res models aren't showing this unless I'm missing something.

Cpv17 yeah, for this potential event, the HRRR will probably be the best one to follow
