Can one just verify? :spam:

What I'm noticing is how Thursday is trending wintry

I wasn't even expecting a threat til Saturday at the earliest

Go to Tropical Tidbits and compare the previous runs for any of those events. Zero agreement run to run. Don't use the GFS beyond 3-4 days out if you don't want to be disappointed.

I'm completely aware and no I dont believe it but do you realize this entire joke of a winter we haven't even had one storm really show up inside 10 days

Just to see something showing up for once. It's been beyond pathetic and embarrassing. I just want one consistent signal before it's not winter anymore. Im sorry but I didn't move to Tulsa to see the whole winter just go on by

Several Arkansas pages just lit up with posts about it

Some flurries on the north side of the metro just now

That's the first time in 6 weeks there's been anything frozen around here. Maybe a sign of change?

I said last night the GFS is gonna be lost with this pattern. The fact it even showed 3 storms here earlier was more shocking than anything haha

Hour 216? Why are you paying attention to an operational model 216 hours out?

The GFS just shows how loaded the pattern is

Yeah I'm sure it'll be gone by the time most people wake up but it just shows that the winter precip may not just be limited to up here

Regardless of what this euro run does with the cold, that is a freaking massive area of barney colors on the Euro, absolutely bitter cold air and definitely much colder than its 12z run, by day 8 the leading edge of the arctic air is already in oklahoma, it’s definitely going south, thats so much cold air getting dislodged

Ensembles 00z : Continue to come in even colder than todays afternoon runs

Models/ensembles continue to trend colder. Yes, southern jet will be active with the AO cooperating. It will just he a question of timing and how cold do we get.

Fun times ahead for tracking but we're still in the laying the groundwork stages here in terms of modeling.

The Euro is way below normal to end January here. Even the warmup is muted

:double: :double:

1:10 AM - Light snow continues to move across Stillwater and vicinity this morning. Reduced visibilities are possible with this activity. Little to no accumulation is expected as this moves southward.

Definitely flakes flying around here
