I believe the song by John Lennon is actually titled "Happy Christmas (War Is Over)". It is one of my favorites of the rock/pop era, as well as "Do They Know It's Christmas" by Band-Aid. As far as the more traditional Christmas songs, "O Holy Night" and "O Little Town of Bethlehem" are both wonderful songs. I also appreciate any choir's version of "Carol of the Bells".
Handel's Messiah then Christmas in Sarajevo. I get chocked up when I hear Handel's. Had to sing it in high school when I was at HSPVA and to this day, it still gives me goosebumps and has my heart pounding.
I was just going to come here and type Manheim Steamroller, but you beat me to it. I can listen to them all day. THey have such an awesome sound, its unreal.
Hey guys...got up at 4:50 this morning as normal, and happened to find a copy of "Christmas Shoes" online to listen to by 3 of Hearts. So...at 5:30, I too was choked up. Thanks for introducing me to that song this Christmas...even if it did put a lump in my throat before breakfast!
