Update Maps and details!!!!
Well its shaping up to be a snowy one for quite a few from the OH Valley east into the Mid-Atlantic and parts of NE. The map is for those in the Mid Atlantic into the NE from VA north and OHIO east...........As i have stated in my model thread im siding with the ETA/Euro to a degree which does have more support then the GFS for example. The tricky part will be for the along the i95 corridor from Richmond north where mixed precip will be a big issue which i do expect to end though as all snow even to the Delmarva coast and yes the tidewater area should end as snow as well but shouldnt see no more then a inch or two at best. Now remember this is my first call on this system which i will update again later tonight or early tomorrow.
I will be changing maps and updating this till the storm departs!

We're down to 28 degrees, 8 degree dewpoints here at Jeb's Weather Center here in Woodbridge, Va where its freezing cold!! Looks as if we may be up against some freezing rain, sleet, and regular rain later changing to all snow and possibly accumulating 3 to 8 inches. Winds associated with the developing coastal storm will blow the snow around, cutting visibilities and creating very hazardous travel conditions!! Not the best time for a jebwalk!!! lol!!
More on this later folks! Stay tuned to Jeb's Weather Center for the very latest on this impending early season storm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

KOW your amounts seem great for me in NYC, but my local forecasters tonight have been saying that we might not even get hit with the storm on saturday and sunday...But it seems as like u put nyc in the 6-12 inch range....Does that mean that more and more forecasters are leaning towards the gfs?

KOW nice map, and i pretty much agree except take the red line and drive it back a bit to the N and W, the high isnt that strong and it may not provide a great CAD signature. Furthermore, points S and E of that red line should be cut from 6-12 down to 4+" with areas off to the further S and E I.E central and southern jersey, IMO i think should be more like 2-5", of course this is just my opinion, o and you might want to cover ur a** a bit further north because the second storm may drive some precip into interior NE, so you may want to make note that there is a possibility of snow there with the second low pressure system.

Letting everyone know i have changed maps. More of a who gets what type of precip map!
Click the link on my original post in this thread to view it!
More or less i expect the mixed precip/heavy snow line right along i95 but expect it all to end as snow all the way to the coast!
Carolinas/SW VA looks to be getting a ice storm as most precip should fall as sleet and or freezing rain after the snow. But here it should end as snow as well and even the coast of VA/NC/SC could see some Snow Showers mixing in at the tail end of the system!!!
Right now the Admins or making it so i can add 2 more maps to that page and should be ready by afternoon at which time i will add my last snowfall amounts maps for everyone that should see snow from this system!!!

Lisa wrote:Please---don't toy with me!!! You still have me in the 6-12 inch range....When do you anticipate the snow to start here? Right now we have light rain...no call for any snow until tomorrow evening. My boys would love to see a big snowfall. What is your call on the start time?
Ok. Where exactly are you located in WV????? Besides that i expect snow to be falling in most of the state by tomorrow evening myself. BTW there will be ice as well for some areas before the changeover to all snow!
AND Remember i DID say that was a FIRST forecast map. Meaning it can change at the next update i do which i feel at this point i wont have to change much for your location! And please remember those totals are for the entire system. Thanks!

I live in between Charleston and Huntington....Southwestern part of the state...bordering Ohio and Kentucky. We are not in the mountains. Right now we are having all rain. I know that they were predicting frozen precip in the mountains, and that we may have some sleet or freezing rain this am... nothing yet other than rain... So, let me know what you think. We were to leave for Columbus tomorrow evening, I'm not sure that would be the best idea. Your opinion, please.
