...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT TODAY...

DISCUSSION:

NORTH TO NORTHWEST WINDS OF 20 TO 30 MPH...WITH GUSTS TO OR EXCEEDING
35 MPH ARE EXPECTED BY THIS AFTERNOON. FURTHERMORE...MUCH DRIER POLAR
AIR WILL BE FILTERING INTO THE REGION...RESULTING IN MINIMUM
AFTERNOON HUMIDITIES BETWEEN 20 AND 30 PERCENT. THESE FACTORS
...COMBINED WITH ALREADY DRY VEGETATION OVER MUCH OF THE REGION
...WILL RESULT IN A HIGH FIRE DANGER ACROSS ALL OF NORTH TEXAS TODAY.
